Background
Kasper is a molecular biologist with a PhD in Health Sciences and extensive experience in preclinical drug discovery and platform development. He builds cellular models and assays to generate proof-of-concept data and clarify mechanisms of action. His research has focused on RNA and RNA–protein complexes as targets and therapeutic modalities. He has also contributed to small-molecule programs in oncology, infectious disease and metabolic indications.

Before co-founding Biohagen Labs, Kasper was a Senior Scientist at Novo Holdings SeedLab (BiOrigin). He led the identification and experimental evaluation of early-stage biotech assets, translating novel science into datasets that supported decisions by pharma and biotech partners and investors. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at BRIC, University of Copenhagen, where he established screening and validation pipelines for small molecules targeting the cellular translation machinery. These combined biochemical assays with proteomics and RNA-seq.

Kasper’s international research experience spans multiple countries and includes work at UC Berkeley. With a strong publication and funding track record, he brings scientific rigor, broad technical expertise and clear communication to complex validation work and therapeutic development.
